Mustard Seed Small Farm
We aim to make fresh produce accessible to families in our community & educate kids about where food comes from.
About
We are a family-run small farm in the picturesque Glenning Valley, on the Central Coast.
Kids & adults workshops, pick-your-own veggies, family photography sessions with the animals, plus delicious pickles & preserves!
We believe ordinary people should be able to afford extraordinary food: produce that’s chemical-free, grown in their community, nutrient dense & delicious.
We started our small farm because we wanted access to healthy food for ourselves & our children— food that hasn’t been sprayed with nasties, hasn’t spent months in cold storage & hasn’t travelled hundreds of miles to get to our plate. Since we have the space & the ability, why not offer that same joy to other local families too?
We use regenerative farming practices: stewarding the soil to leave it healthier than we found it. These practices are based on 5 guiding principles:
Minimise soil disturbance
Keep the soil covered
Maintain living roots at all times
Encourage diversity
Integrate animals into the system.
We grow food, take care of our land, & invite others onto our property to learn how to do the same. We’re passionate about educating & equipping our generation to grow food for their health, using methods that don’t compromise the health of their growing space.
